Suspens-Fracas is a game, a dangerous game. It’s about the quest for omnipotence and the destructive madness of hyper-militarized states. Territory, throne, shelter, totem, the 100 pans on the stage are the burden of past wars, mirroring present and future conflicts. A woman’s body in tension mobilizes, facing up to its own contradictions. The metal in contact with her skin reveals both hardness and tenderness. What remains of our bodies to preserve, what traces left by intimate and collective violence can we still care for? Suspens-Fracas, a choreographic and sound fable, stretches the thread of a pacifism to be reinvented, an unstable balance between elevation and collapse, construction and chaos. Naïve and serious, this role-playing game constructs and deconstructs different characters, like so many confused actors of our times. Les 100 casseroles multiplies the possibilities, 100 faces, 100 voices, 100 ways of positioning ourselves.
